Looks like there's gonna be two episodes this week as the podcast looks through the history of Wallace & Gromit with a look at the shorts, the films and the work of Aardman as a whole.

Episode 169: Robert Eggers

One final directorial retrospective this year with a look at Robert Eggers career to tie into his upcoming adaptation of Nosferatu.

Episode 168: The Lion King: Redux

We only did a Disney film a couple of weeks ago but they just keep pumping out new films so we're looking at The Lion King (again) along with the two sequels and the 2019 remake.

Episode 167: The Lord of the Rings

One of the biggest gaps in podcast history is begin filled this week as we look at Lord of the Rings (but it's not the extended edition this week). We look at the history of the films coming to screen, Peter Jackson's career and, somehow and rather inexplicably, a comparison between Lord of the Rings, Spider-Man and Paddington 2.

Episode 166: Mulan

There's a sequel to Moana coming out soon but it's already been covered on the show so I guess we're covering Mulan this week? There's no real justification beyond the fact that they're both Disney princess films but we talk about Disney in general and there's a special guest who turns up in the episode.

Episode 165: Gladiator

Gladiator II comes out soon so it's time to talk about the first Gladiator along with the career of Ridley Scott, the general gladiator genre and the similarities between the scores of Hans Zimmer.

Episode 164: Paddington

After a hectic and stressful week for some, there's some wholesome content this week with a discussion of the Paddington films to tie into the new film out soon. We look at the films and just the general output of Paul King.

Episode 163: The Thing

We're covering a real classic for this year's Halloween special with the main item of discussion being the 1982 classic with the 1951, Thing From Another World on one side and the 2011 prequel of the same name (which causes some annoyance to say the least from us). We also talk about poor film endings and what we find scary. Because it's the spooky time of year, you know?

Episode 162: Venom

We've had a bit of a lack of superhero podcasts this year so we're gonna tackle the Venom films which aren't even really superhero films so it barely even counts. Anyway, look forward to our impressions of the song and just general Spider-Man chatter.

Episode 161: What We Do in the Shadows: Redux

You may or may not be aware that I covered What We Do in the Shadows already in the history of the podcast but that was early on and not up to the standards of modern quality so here's a more modern look to tie into the release of the show's final season with talks on the career of Taika Waititi, New Zealand Accents and Danny Trejo somehow.
